How Lupine Letters Used Our Styled Stock on Her Website

It’s been so great seeing all the different ways creative professionals have been using our stock photos over the past year. And today, we are very excited to show off how Erin of Lupine Letters used images from not just 1 but from 5 of our collections! We were so inspired by how this Texas calligrapher and graphic designer worked select stock photos onto her website that we sat down with her to get all of the details - read on to learn about what prompted her to start her website project, why she chose to use styled stock photos, and what she’s most excited for in the coming months!

What inspired you to rebrand and build a new website?

Up until this year I didn’t even have a website, so creating this one was long overdue!  I reached the point where I realized I couldn’t communicate my values or the experience of working with me through Instagram alone.  So, I spent the better part of the past year unearthing and breaking down the story that brought me to where I am today.  That experience whittled Lupine Letters down to its very essence and I needed a website to match those changes.

What were your biggest goals with the redesign?

To clearly convey to prospective clients the different ways you can work with me, as a bride or a creative professional, as well as to communicate the experience of working with a custom design studio.  It’s a very intimate process.  I also wanted to a place to showcase my favorite designs.

What was the process like of dreaming up what your new website would look like?

Like with so many things, the dream became a reality because of the support of others.  Using a website template from Tonic Site Shop simplified the design aspect and allowed me to focus on learning the Showit platform.  Designing and executing a branding shoot elevated and personalized the site along with the beautiful styled stock images from Sourced Co. that fit my aesthetic and filled in the gaps.

Why did you use Sourced Co. images and graphics on your new website?

We live in a visual world and beautiful images was important to me in order to grow my business and reach my ideal client.  Doing multiple shoots wasn’t in the timeline or the budget for this launch, but I still wanted stock images that provided the same feel as the ones we created with the branding shoot. I love that fact that each Sourced Co. collection is only available for a limited time, so I know the images on my website won’t be on thousands of others.

How did you go about picking which ones you would use?

I have a membership to Sourced Co., so I went through each collection to find the images that supported my offerings and were in line with the mood of my brand.  With such a wide variety of shots I selected images that would support my work.  I also use images from the collections for social media posts and to use in client mood boards.

What do you love most about your new website?

I absolutely adore the inviting, delicate, timeless feel of the site and the glimpses into my creative process.  Building the site myself was a labor of love.  There were many late nights agonizing over the right copy and images.  But a website grows and expands, so I look forward to updating it as business changes.

What are you most excited about in the coming months?

It’s crazy how my business has been impacted simply with the launch of this new brand and website.  Each client that I have worked with since the launch has commented on how beautiful the new website is, although the work I produce hasn’t changed a bit.  I am thrilled with the look of the new site and look forward to serving a wider audience as a result!

It is such an honor to support other creative business owners with our images and a huge congrats to Erin on her beautiful new website! Looking for images and graphics to help get you through your website redesign? Learn more about how our styled stock photos can help!
