Stock Art to Use as a Canva Background

When you run a business in the wedding or creative industry, you have to wear a lot of hats. From becoming a bookkeeper and customer service expert to educating yourself about all things marketing and sales, there is a wide skill set you need to ramp up on. But being responsible for a lot of things doesn’t mean you are confident about everything you do. And, while we could write this introduction to introduce fifty different topics, today we wanted to talk more specifically about something that can impact one of your biggest responsibilities—how well you wear that graphic designer hat to support the marketing one.

The great thing is, becoming an expert in Photoshop is no longer required since Canva hit the scene in 2013 (an incredibly cool story by the way and you should listen to the How I Built This episode with the founder if you don’t know it). The incredibly easy-to-use graphic design platform makes it simple to create professional-quality graphics (even if your graphic design hat is the one you hate wearing the most). And, since we know a lot of you use it, we thought it would be fun to pull some of our favorite pieces of stock art that can help you design something really impressive. Keep scrolling to see our picks that make great Canva backgrounds and pick up the ones that will help you take your proposals, social media graphics or pricing PDFs to the next level.

Floral Patterned Stock Art to use as Canva Backgrounds

Floral patterns are always a design asset when it comes to a wedding brand and these are some of our standouts! Each one was hand-painted with watercolor or digitally hand-illustrated and they are great for using as cover pages. You can find them in our collections Ella Rose Farm, Save the Date, and Down the Aisle.

If you love florals but need white space, these three options will do just the trick! Each one was hand-painted using watercolors and is perfect for adding visual interest to a page that needs to be mostly text. You can find the first from Black Tie Optional, the second and third in Lemonade.

Blue Watercolor Backgrounds for Canva

There are some instances where a watercolor wash is just the thing you need and these 3 ocean-inspired ones are fantastic for uploading into Canva. Overlay white boxes to create space for text or just use a corner of it in a footer or as a side bar! You can find the first one from Better Together and the second and third in Return to Sea.

Otomi-Inspired Stock Art to Use in Canva

Definitely high on our list of favorites, these otomi-inspired patterns are fun, boho, and classic all at the same time! And, with different color variations, there is one to complement your brand. All of these are from a very popular collection of ours—Just Us.

Neutral Patterns for Canva Backgrounds

Just because it’s neutral doesn’t mean it has to be boring! These three patterns are perfect for adding a more subtle design element to whatever you are working on in Canva and can be used as a full background or smaller graphic element. You can find the first from Hold Me Close, the second from Salt of the Earth, and the third from Summer Sets.

Love these graphics but still need a little help when it comes to wearing your graphic designer hat with confidence? Our friend Brenda Cadman has a great Canva 101 course to help!
